GRADSA’s Medical Outreach Committee is dedicated to providing Doctors with best practice guidelines when delivering the Down Syndrome diagnosis. We ultimately want to improve the diagnosis experience for families by improving the communication about Down Syndrome. We have provided nationally recommended resources to be given to the parents and are ready to support them. The Medical Outreach Committee is trained, certified and available for their Down Syndrome journey.
- Certified and Trained Medical Outreach Representatives
- Build relationships of trust and respect between providers and the Down Syndrome community
- Provide presentations and up-to-date information on Down Syndrome to medical staff
- Provide books, brochures and information packets for new diagnosis
- Act as an organization
- Report quarterly log to Lettercase
- Deliver Welcome Baskets to new families

Meet Our Team

Christie Ashby
Christie is a stay-at-home mom of 3 boys: Landon (19), Parker (16) and Carson (12). Prior to being at home Christie was a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/L) in the acute care setting of OHRH. Christie has served on the GRADSA Buddy Walk committee for many years and currently serves on the GRADSA board. Christie currently serves on the GRADSA Board as Vice President.

Cindy Wimsatt
Cindy is a stay-at-home mom of 2 children: Hailey (28) and Anna Sue (10). Prior to being at home Cindy worked in the financial planning industry for over 15 years. Cindy has served on the GRADSA Buddy Walk committee and the GRADSA board for many years.

Renea Estes
Renea works at Grace Marriage and mom of 4 children: Mason (19), Luke (17), Chapel (14), and Chaney (11). Renea worked in the medical field for over 23 years prior to her current job. Renea and her husband Jonathan have both served on the GRADSA board and the Buddy Walk committee for many years.
